Ramen bowls have been extremely popular in Japan for the last couple of decades. The wave hit the U.S. a several years ago, and it has been becoming more popular and popular everyday. Some might want to argue that they have been eating Ramen bowls before "several years ago " ,but I am not talking about struggling college students staples, I am talking about the real deal, like Hakata Ikkousha's Tonkotsu Ramen.
Ramen often consists various toppings depends on where the ramen originally from, and same goes to the soup. Most famous Ramen flavor in Japan is Shoyu (Soy Sauce), Miso, and Tonkotsu (Pork Bone). Hakata Ikkousha is from Hakata Fukuoka Japan, and it is known for their Tonkotsu Ramen that is rich, creamy and flavorful paired with their hand crafted thin and delicate noodles. Oh and the best part is that you don't have to book a flight to Japan to try because now Hakata Ikkousha has 4 Ramen Shops in SoCal!
Their first U.S. location opened in Costa Mesa CA. in 2015 and they immediately became popular among people in the area. They have opened 3 more locations since then and they have been introducing their authentic Tonkotsu Ramen to the people in the LA, OC area.
